See it move
The eye doesn't just glow. It looks around.
A static glow is a light. An eye that tracks, blinks and rolls is a face — and that is the entire reason people stop scrolling for this product.
Fitment
Will it fit my car?
Two questions and you'll know. No part numbers, no lookup table.
Does your car have round fog lights in the front bumper?
That's the easy install.
Round fog lamps are what these are built for. The lens swaps into the fog housing from behind or under the bumper — no headlight disassembly. Measure the opening against the 79 mm lens first; some bumpers need a little trimming, and basic 12V wiring knowledge helps.
Possible, but it's the harder route.
Without round fog lamps the lens has to go inside the main headlight, replacing the OEM projector. That means opening and re-sealing the housing — a job for someone who has done retrofits, or a shop. We'd rather tell you now than take a return later.
Have a look at the front bumper.
Low down, outboard of the grille, on each side. If there's a round lamp roughly the size of a drinks coaster, that's a fog light and the easy install applies. Square or triangular units, or a blank panel, mean the headlight route instead.

Why the cheap ones look fake
A halo ring is a light. This is a screen.
The £8 versions are a coloured LED ring glued behind your existing lens. They glow. That's all they do — one flat colour, no detail, and in daylight they look exactly like what they are.
BASILISK is built the other way round. Each unit is a small LED display sitting behind a proper condenser lens, so it renders an actual image: white sclera, iris fibres, a hard black pupil — and it animates. The lens focuses it so the eye reads as though it's inside the glass rather than printed on the front.
Rated 50,000 hours. 12–30V, so it runs on a car or a bike.

Straight answer
What the install actually takes.
Most sellers skip this page. It's the thing people get wrong, so here it is up front.
Measure
Check your round fog opening against the 79 mm lens. Most bumpers take it with the universal brackets; some need light trimming.
Seat & wire
Lens into the housing, then two leads into the existing fog or parking circuit. Basic 12V knowledge is enough.
Hide the box
One driver box feeds both lenses, so there's a single unit to tuck behind the bumper. Then pair the remote and you're done.
Honest difficulty: moderate. Not plug-and-play.
Through the fog lights it's a straightforward job and no headlight comes apart. Fitting into the main headlight instead means opening and re-sealing the housing — that one is for experienced retrofitters or a shop. If you want it perfect and you're not confident with 12V wiring, budget for an installer.
Show and off-road use
Coloured and animated forward-facing lights are not road legal in the UK (an MOT failure), the EU, or most US states. BASILISK is sold for shows, meets, builds, private land and static display. Check your local rules before using them on a public road — that's on you, and we'd rather say it here than in the small print.
Questions people actually ask
Will these fit my car?
Will these fit my car?
If your front bumper has round fog lights, yes — that's the straightforward install and no headlight comes apart. If it doesn't, the lens has to go inside the main headlight instead, which means opening and re-sealing the housing. Use the fitment checker above.
Does the eye really move, or is that just the ads?
Does the eye really move, or is that just the ads?
It really moves. Each lens is an LED display behind a condenser lens, so it renders a full eye and animates it. What it doesn't do is react to the world — it plays preset animations, so it won't wink at a passer-by on its own or notice a police car.
Can I control the left and right eye separately?
Can I control the left and right eye separately?
No. Both lenses run off one driver box and one four-button remote, so they always show the same thing at the same time. That's what makes the car read as a face rather than two unrelated lights.

What's in the box?
Pair · Complete Car Kit: 2 lens units, 1 driver box that runs both, 1 four-button remote. Single Lens: 1 lens unit, 1 driver, 1 remote — for a motorcycle or one fog light. A car needs the pair.
Are they road legal?
Are they road legal?
No. Coloured and animated forward-facing lights fail the MOT in the UK and aren't street legal in the EU or most US states. These are sold for show, off-road and static display use.
